A sharing session is a great opportunity for you to see what other members have been up to with their photography, and to send in some of your own photos to have critiqued. Talking about your photos with others is one of the best ways to improve your photographic vision (second only to practice!). So don't be shy, and send us some of your photos!

The theme this time is Colour, whether it be vibrant and bright, subdued and moody, warm, cold, striking, subtle, we're looking for photos where colour dictates the mood. There will also be a workshop about how to most effectively use colour in your photography.

Date: Tuesday 15th May
Time: 12.30-2 pm
Place: Engineering Building block C, Lecture Theatre C1

Please send no more than four photos by Friday 11th May to
contact@fotoholics.org. Make sure that your photos are not
full-size (no more than 3MB, preferably), for ease of emailing. A JPEG
compression quality of about 75-80 should be adequate. Title your
photos with your full name and by order of preference, just in case we get too many to show all of them. Example: JohnSmith1.jpg,
JohnSmith2.jpg...

Hope to see you all there!

Another semester's coming to an end. Assignments are piling up and exams are quickly approaching. But Fotoholics has one more event, just so you can take a short break from all that and think about something else for a little while.

Our last event for this semester is a Sharing Session and Workshop.

The next Fotoholics event will be a day trip to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival. Enjoy a spring day among fields of colourful tulips, a welcome contrast to Melbourne's recent incessant rain. We will also have a few models coming along with us. So bring along your cameras, and try not to go too crazy with your saturation slider...

The Loddon Shire was extremely affected by floods earlier this year. For a small community, this was devastating. The aim of our project was to both raise awareness of the flood damage, as well as to put a little bit of spark back into their tourism industry. Our secondary aim was to create better ties between rural and metropolitan Victoria.
