The Loddon Shire was extremely affected by floods earlier this year. For a small community, this was devastating. The aim of our project was to both raise awareness of the flood damage, as well as to put a little bit of spark back into their tourism industry. Our secondary aim was to create better ties between rural and metropolitan Victoria.
Fotoholics collaborating with SALP has captured all that the region has to offer. The photos have come up a treat, so now we invite you all to come and check them out and experience for yourself all the great things the region has to offer.
Location: Yasuko Hiraoka Room, Sidney Myer Asia, University Of Melbourne.
Opening Night: Thursday 6th of Oct, 6pm.
Exhibition Opening hours: Friday,7th Oct and Monday, 10th Oct 9.30am-5.30pm
Not only is this event an exhibition of the beauty and personality of the Loddon Shire, but also a testimony to the great work of a very talented bunch of photographers.
So please come along and help to support this great cause! Invite your friends and family, or even tell a stranger about it if you're as passionate as we are. Gold coin donation is welcome at the entry and money raised would go to the Bridgewater Flood Recovery Program!
