Anyone!
We run a lot of general events and outings, so many people who are not even camera enthusiasts love to come along for the food, for the fun trips and for the collegial nature of our events.
A considerable number of our members are not University of Melbourne students. We have members from Monash, RMIT, Deakin, Swinburne as well as general members of the public. |

Fotoholics has many active and experienced Photographers on its membership who are available for Event Type Photography work. If you are seeking a Professional Photographer for an event at student pricing, please feel free to contact us at to negotiate an arrangement.
We also are actively seeking models who are interested in TFP/TFCD type work for our Activities. We would provide you with a Travel Allowance and Meal Allowance, as well as Photos on a CD, in exchange for your time in assisting us as a model for an event.

Fotoholics runs a wide variety of events inclluding Activities, Workshops, Competitions, Camps and Sharing Sessions
We are a very active club and on average, there is a Fotoholics event every fortnight.
Unlike other Camera Clubs, we do not have a Weekly or Monthly "Meet" instead our Sharing Sessions are our de facto meeting times. During the Sharing Sessions, members are treated to a mini-workshop, lunch and are given an opportunity to share and obtain feedback on their photographs by other members.
As a University student organisation, our activity schedule is heavily impacted by the University timetable. Large Outings and Camps are generally organised during University holidays, while other activities are held during weekends and lunch breaks during weekdays. |

The word "Fotoholics" is a term coined from the amalgamation of two words: Photography and Alcoholics. Combined together, the term is meant to connote (in a positive way) someone who is addicted (passionate would be a better word) to Photography - a Photography maniac, shutter bug, photo aficionado etc.
From now on, feel free to start calling yourself a FOTOHOLIC! |
